Have you ever wondered how secure your photos are on social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram?
One of the main reasons why I set up my own website was because I wanted to be in control of my own data, in terms of what, where, when, and how long it gets to stay online.
I incidentally discovered Forever, a service that does just that, and guarantees safe and permanent online storage for up to 100 years, just enough for my grandchildren and great grandchildren to enjoy (I’m not concerned what happens after the two generations, because I am not that important).
They have an app that easily lets you upload photos from your phone.
It’s free to sign up and avail of the 2GB monthly limit. I started out with the free plan at first, but after backing up my 300th photo, I wanted to continue until I saved all the other memorable photos on my phone.
I subscribed for the 10GB monthly limit, and after a year, I will have permanent ownership of my photos.
What do you think of Forever? In case you check it out, let me know 🙂
